New York State's One-Stop Career Centers are proud to offer Priority of Service to veterans.
Through internships, employers across the country utilize student interns to address targeted projects, implement new initiatives, or assist with ongoing needs. Many businesses in our region, however, do not know what potential interns are out there and how to access them. This grant was designed to bolster the role of internships across our region - Ontario, Yates, Seneca, and Wayne Counties. Funding for the Finger Lakes Internship Program has now expired but interested local students are encouraged to contact Pat Gopen, Youth Systems Coordinator, for referrals to Finger Lakes employers and resources.

- Where: Finger Lakes Works - Geneva / 70 Elizabeth Blackwell Street, Geneva
- When: Monday-Friday - 8:30am-4:00pm
- Scepter is a foundry hot physical work. Must have valid NYS Driver's license and able to work rotating shifts. High School diploma or GED is not necessary.
- Salary starts at $11.82 and after 18 months is $15.30.
- Employer: Guardian Industries
- Where: Finger Lakes Works - Geneva / 70 Elizabeth Blackwell Street, Geneva
- When: Monday-Friday - 8:30am-4:00pm (allow 30-40 minutes to fill out application)
- Available Positions: Maintenance and Production
- Salary: $11.50/hour for entry level, $13.00/hour after 1 year, $14.50/hour after 2 years and $16.00/hour after 3 years. If you have 1 year relevant experience at Entry Level the pay will be $13.00/hour.
