FINGER LAKES WORKFORCE INVESTMENT BOARD
ANNOUNCES HEALTH CARE AND HUMAN SERVICES FORUM
The Finger Lakes Workforce Investment Board is convening a forum for providers of Health Care and Human Services on Tuesday, May 27th. The forum will be held at Ramada Geneva Lakefront and will run from 8:00am-10:00am.
The Health Care and Human Services industry is paramount to the success and stability of the state of New York and the people, communities and employers of the Finger Lakes region. Having a well-trained, skilled and effective workforce is essential to that success and stability. The Forum will be held to find out what these employers need to thrive and prosper in these changing and challenging times.
At the forum participants will be asked to react to a data snapshot of the industry (demographics, trends, image, needs) and use “on-the-ground” experience to verify, challenge and add to that picture of the region’s Health Care and Human Services sector. Also, participants will be introduce to the concept of a Regional Skills Alliance – an idea that’s being successfully implemented around the country to help employers find solutions to economic and workforce challenges.
From large employers to small, every voice is essential to hear. Employers in Health Care and Human Services face many common challenges, and at the same time, all have unique points of view. We need as many employers to attend as possible, in order to really understand what your needs are and how the Finger Lakes Workforce Board can be most helpful in meeting those challenges. Deadline to register is May 21st.
