Abtex Corporation

Finger Lakes Works Business Service Rep., Sherry Morse (left), present Business of the Month Certificate to Mark Fultz, President of Abtex Corporation.
Abtex Corporation manufactures abrasive filament power brushes and automated machinery for brush deburring metal parts. Our brushes feature abrasive nylon filaments. These are flexible nylon “bristles” that have abrasive grains embedded throughout. In general, these brushes are used for removing sharp edges and burrs from precision ground or cut metal parts. The bristles act like flexible files to eliminate burrs and sharp edges without changing the dimensions of the part.
The machinery we design and build is used to present these parts to our brush. Usually, our machines are processing high volume, automotive components. We engineer the brush and the machine for a specific family of parts. This customization ensures that our customer is using the most effective and efficient process available.
This year, Abtex is 30 years old. The keys to our success are the commitment and dedication of our team members and the quality products they produce.
