CALLING ALL EMPLOYERS!! Business Partnership and Speaker's Bureau
Looking for a way to let our young people know about what you do? Interested in hiring a teacher for the summer? Now is the opportunity to register for the Business Partnership and Speaker's Bureau. In an effort to improve the business-education partnership, the Finger Lakes Workforce Investment Board is compiling a list of employers who are interested in speaking to students about career opportunities in their respective field, offering business tours, hiring youth, or hosting a teacher intern for vacation or summer break. It's simple and a great way to help prepare our young people for jobs in their own community and assist the teachers in finding out what local employers are looking for. The role of the WIB is to compile the list and make the connection between the employer and the school representative. The partnership is further developed between the educator and employer, depending on the need. By registering, there is no guarantee that you will be asked to participate, however, the more opportunities offered, the more the partnership is strengthened. To participate call the WIB office at 315.789.3131 or toll free at 1-877-6 NEWJOB with any questions.
