Evin Tylenda

Evin is a 2013 graduate of North Rose Wolcott High School and attended the Wayne Finger Lakes BOCES Welding and Machining Program.  He was invited to a presentation at his school on the Advanced Manufacturing Career Pathways Grant and even though he was not interested in continuing his formal education post high school, Evin realizes he made the right decision to attend that meeting.  This is where he met Jeannie Brockmyre, owner of the Wolcott based company Absolute Precision, LLC and our August Business of the month.003

Jeannie provided the employer perspective of what she was looking for in her employees and Evin realized he would like to work there.  After the formal presentation, Evin introduced himself to Ms. Brockmyre and this chance meeting resulted in an internship for Evin at Absolute Precision.  Jeannie and her husband Bryan were very impressed with Evin’s skill set and work ethic and the day before his internship ended, they offered Evin a full time job at the company after graduation.  They continue to be pleased with his performance.

Evin really enjoys working in his community and when asked what do you like best about your job he replied, “My bosses, co-workers and milkshake Fridays.  Congratulations Evin!
